As technology continues to reshape education and the future workforce, Katy ISD is taking a thoughtful, balanced approach to preparing students for success. At its July Board Work Study meeting, District leaders unveiled a comprehensive vision for classroom technology that emphasizes purposeful instruction, age-appropriate digital learning and the responsible integration of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance teaching while keeping educators at the center of every student's learning experience.

Katy ISD is preparing to welcome students for the 2026-2027 school year as New Student Registration, for first-time Katy ISD students or those returning to Katy ISD reopens through PowerSchool on Friday, July 24.

Katy ISD welcomed law enforcement, fire service and emergency management partners from across the region for its annual Emergency Responder Forum on July 16, aimed at strengthening collaboration and preparedness for student, staff and community safety.

More students and families will soon have the opportunity to experience the excellence of Katy ISD as the District launches its High School Limited Open Enrollment program this fall.

More than 300 Katy ISD student-athletes spent part of their summer developing the leadership skills that will shape their teams, campuses and communities during the District's annual Student Athlete Leadership Team (S.A.L.T.) Conference, held July 15.

Katy ISD has once again been recognized as a Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) District of Distinction, earning the prestigious honor for the sixth time in recognition of the District's exceptional visual arts programs.
